1600 + 1050mhz instead of 1400mhz so show [clock speed] [multiplier]

Q: I recently replaced my motherboard with an Aopen board, freezing problems with my old. But when I boot up, my 1600 + shows only a 1050mhz . Ive changed the on the clock to bring to 1.4, save and restart the clock only to find a residence in 1050 on startup. If I go back to my changes in the BIOS to control, they are the way I left them, equal to 1.4, but never thinking about restarting. Am I making any sense?
When I have an xp 2000 in the same motherboard, I have to go back inside and change the , but I can save and it does reflect the changes on a reboot. My chip is bad? Should I flash the bios? The AOpen motherboard model ak77-8xn. Something else you should know?
Thanks

They were made for each other.

Re:Turned out to be a jumper on the MB. Thanks guys

Re:Do I use 133 or 166 for an Athlon 2100, because mine is showing up as a 1500. I have PC2100 ram, and I think it uses 133 bus, but it's been so damn long since I read up on this kind of stuff. I got a lil rusty. :(

guy beat me too it! I had just this same problem with a ECS board and a amd 1700 … Changed to FSB from 133 to 166 and its fine now. Make sure you also have the latest bios from your mb company…

wow, nice overclock man! ;)

For Xp1700+ u usually use 133 fsb, but urs could be different or u may have a different type of ram

Umm, I think you are a little confused now…an XP 1700 with an 166FSB? That would be Barton 2500 then…

Re:Hi guy, change your frontside bus (FSB) to 133MHz in the BIOS, then save & exit. :)
