Q: Just walking . no successful xp21 + unlocks out there?
Re:thanks technonut, I'm pretty sure the duron 1300 is the same as athlon xp 2100+
and I finished reading everything, including this very good site here: http://www.beachlink.com/candjac/index.htm
everyone interested in overclocking AMD cpus should read this site!!
from what I understand, the 5th L3 bridge is the way to unlock tbred cpus… but with palomino (or morgan like my friends) we have to either cut the L10 or connect those 2 pins on the bottom like technonut… so that's what I'm going to do… then my friend will be able to run his duron @ 333fsb while waiting to upgrade to athlon xp (-:
please correct me if I'm wrong anyone..
Re:Thanx a lot, technonut, i'll give it a try!!!
Re:guy, The 2100+ is a Palomino. I grounded the pins with conductive paint and connected the L1 bridges. I am not sure about the Duron 1300 since I never had one.
guy, I have a few rigs, and am not running the 2100+ that I unlocked at the moment. I find that a combination FSB/multiplier adjustment gives the best performance. Set a low multiplier and raise the FSB as much as you can. Start out slowly, taking it up a notch at a time. Test for 100% stability every step until you find the "sweet spot." I have a factory unlocked MP 2000+ running at a multiplier of 9.0 with the FSB at 213 on an EPoX 8K5A2+. ![]()
Re:Very interesting, technonut, and after unlock it, what did you do? I mean, how much do u increased ur multiplier, fsb, and how's it working?
Re:hey man, very very interesting…
the 2100+ is it tbred or palomino?
because my friend has a duron 1300 and wants to unlock it… he wants to run it at 333fsb instead of 200!!!
it to has multiplier of 13 (13×100) just like the 2100+ is 13×133 = 1733
so I thought the only way to unlock it would be to swap the L10 bridges, close the opened, and open the closed… which would involve cutting a bridge )-:
but according to guy and his link, this can be done by either connecting 2 pins on the underside of the chip, or closing the 5th L3 bridge
either of these solutions is a lot easier then cutting a bridge on L10… would this work on the duron 1300?
oh wait a minute.. I just read a bit more and it says this solution is for tbred, and palomino has different pins…
in which case I think the only way is the L10… does anyone know how to unlock the palomino 2100+ or the duron 1300?
Re:Yes, I have an unlocked 2100+. The 2100+ cannot be unlocked by just connecting the L1 bridges. I used the method shown Here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1709). I used conductive paint, not wire.
