Are also holding off any purchases?

BFG is the only way to fly IMO. I called them at 2am and immediatly go a native english speaker who knew what he was talking about and resolved my issue in less than a minute…add to that the life time warranty where I've heard people claim they ship a brand new or sometimes next gen card to you instead of fixing it.

As far as cooling…I can't comment since I put waterblocks on everything these days for noises.

Right on the money, thats what I loved about their setup.
Had a slight problem with my 5900nu and they solved it right off.

now as far as WCing the card…myself Im interested in buying their SCed version taking the block off and replacing it with a danger den 6800 block :D

I'll post my PNY's once I finally get it. Some people have gotten theres already so I just have to wait for my store to finally get their in :(

Good idea. We need a comparison of performance between these different models.

OK my BFG does 431/1.11ghz solid, not spectacular but exceptable.

I bet it's acceptable, too!

Re:I'd go with BFG. I got mine and it has run without any problems and has overclocked somewhat well from what I've heard (420/1.19 max).

I thought this was already debunked as FUD, including the wide-screen issue?

hmm.. not to my knowledge.. didn't bar81 trade his as he couldn't get the res to work (and also stated BFG CS as well as the FAQ stated the max res?)Nah! You need to stop debating so much and keep up with the posts brudda ;) *just bustin' yo chops a little* :) from his post on the 2nd page of his thread after talking to BFG
1. These cards are produced/outsourced by nVidia so they are reference models. What this should mean is that the quality of the DVI output should not be in question as extremetech has shown that nVidia produced/sourced cards have excellent DVI quality.

2. The max supported resolution for DVI is 1600×1200. BFG acknowledged that wrong information was being disseminated yesterday. All resolutions under 1600×1200 should be available. I didn't quote the rest because another thread was started that refuted the wide-screen issue by showing it works just fine. Any issue are isolated in nature and most likely correctable at that.

ahh.. that's cool.. thanks.

was on a trip all weekend so there's much posted over the last couple days i hadn't read ;)

out of those choices i'm more inclined to get the BFG
but I do want a better cooling solution
and would prefer prices at or below 300

not sure if i wanna wait or just saw f*ck it and get the BFGI'll add to the BFG GT feedback tomorrow, and let you know if my ram does any better than the whimpy overclock some are getting with it.

hahaha ok :)

i like the fact that it is a small-high-quality-american-company too

Re:I have a bfg 6800 gt, it ocs to 420/1100 stable. I got around 12000 3dmark03, with a p4 3.06/1024 1066rdram. I would recommend the card.

Let me know if you have any questions.

The Asus looks nice, but it'll be $50 more expensive at the minimum, as Asus cards generally tend to be. As for Abit, I highly doubt they'll be making nVidia cards anymore, sadly :( . And MSI cards tend to have really neat cooling, but I saw a pic of their solution for the 6800 range somewhere (don't ask where, it was in some huge Computex roundup or somesuch), and was underwhelmed – it certainly doesn't look as good as their 5950 cooler does.
So you could either get a Leadtek (which has a funky cooler, but I think it's ugly), or just "settle" for the stock 20MHz overclock and lifetime warranty on the BFG cards.

Re:The only difference between vendors will maybe be noise from their HSF units. And noise differences will be very acute. Also dont forget eVGA also has a model out.

Re:Can't go wrong with BFG imho, but yeah, I would also like a little "flavor" on the PCB.

Re:I dont think it will make much of a difference. performance will be about the same.
