Q: Q
Hi
Thank you for reading this
I just built one and used my Nf7 Abit ATI Radeon 9500 with the ATI drivers I get the BSOD to start up
so I remover the drivers and it all good now
Is anyone running an ATI card on a Nforce chipset MOB
I never thought there would be problems with the two
Any info would be of great help

Re:Sorry, I thought you were having the problem more regularly than that.
Re:guy
guy,
Thanks for the heads up but I know all that (I have an A+)
but before I reformat and reload again with the wrong drivers or AGP card
as far as I know ATI and nForce MOB work very nice with each other
Right now I'm running this rig with out the ATI drivers installed and so far only one crash in 48 hours
and I'll try to reload over the week end
guy
Re:Well, you need to format again, get sp1 installed, then get the nforce drivers installed. Of course, you need to do all of this before being connected to the internet, unless you have a firewall. You shouldn't even worry about the cat drivers before you get the mb drivers installed.
Re:I have the NF7-S ver 2.0 with ATI All-in-wonder 9700 pro, no issues here. try abitusa.com and check out thier forums, they have helped me in the past.
Re::confused:
guy
First I tryed loading the nforce MOB drivers first and that did not go well as soon as I installed the catalyst 4.5 drivers, my USB mouse stopped working and then when I would reboot I would get a BSOD
then I reloaded windows XP and tryed the catalyst 4.5 drivers before the MOB drivers and when the computer started and got to the XP splash screen it would lock-up
and I'm using Rad clocker that was ok on the KT400 chipset, but I never got to O/C the card
Re:did you load the nforce 2 drivers before loading the cats? have you "modded" your 9500?
Re:guy
yes a fresh load of XP pro sp1 with the catalyst 4.5 drivers
and as soon as I loaded the ATI drivers it would crash or BSOD
Re:ATI cards run fine on nforce2 motherboards. Did you do a clean install of XP? If so, did you install the latest nforce2 chipset drivers and the ATI catalyst 4.5's?
Re:I must be the only one who is using a Nforce chipset with an ATI AGP card??????
