Q: Is 10 to 20% reasonable, with the following?
K8N-E (if the slot is present and where are the damn reviews!)
Athlon 64 3400 + Newcastle 2.4Ghz/512KB L2
Thermalright SLK948U (or not-yet-released XP-120) w/92mm
On a question for the Wizards: Is Corsair TWINX1024-3200XL 1GB Kit DDR400 XMS3200 2-2-2-5 Dual Channel Xtra-Low Latency Memory w / Black Heat Spreader a sensible choice, or one with less expensive memory overclock? I read here at OCZ about Anand 3700EB but read 2-2-2-5 can work better in the 200-250 range, for a less aggressive overclock (and one for a first-timer!), And even a suitable Thanks for the K8N-E.
Many for each direction and sharing comments.
other planned: 200GB
WD2000JD SATA
Sonata case w/True550 u0026amp; addl 120mm (Sunon, panaflo, Vantec – not sure)
audigy 2
logitec z 5300
9800XT (hand, for now)
Re:I'm using the "twinx1024-3200xl" 2-2-2-5 RAM and it's LIGHTNING fast even whe nrunnign at DDR333. Low latency is king!
Re:thanks for the responses everyone.
it's the corsair 2-2-2-5 for me!
here's some more reviews:

Re:I saw some URL yesterday regarding A64 overclocking. That would be a good read, i'll look it up for ya.
edit: heres the url, hope it will be to some help.

Re:I would go with the Corsair if you plan on doing any Overclocking or high end gaming. I settled for Mushkin Level One Black modules since they were "comparable" in specs but a little cheaper at the time.
Although the Mushkin is good memory I wish I had gone the extra for the Corsair now that I am gaming and OCing. The Mushkin doesn't do as well as I know the Corsaid would have.
Re:nice pic…
i got kingston 466 mhz 3-3-3-8 cause it was cheaper than that corsair dealy at the time. I still cant get it to overclock at all, and shouldn't 400mhz be underclocking for 466mhz memory? Enough rant, visit the thread about yanked over memory. my suggestion, dont get what i got. I don't know if it is better to get something rated at higher than 400mhz or just low latency, but if you want 20% get something known for overclocking, corsair ocz etc.
PS might want to consult the experts on this but i don't know if the 3400 is worth it to OC much unless you get more expensive cooling. this is cause it's the same core (i have a 3000 newcastle) but with a higher multiplier. this means the core is getting closer to it's limit and you cant up the fsb as much as with a lower multiplier.
