AMD 1700 + and Abit Tbred KX7-333: Can not get tension settings above 1.75V [abit kx7 333] [xp2200]

Q: boys, so I have my Tbred 1700 + running on my Abit KX7-333 on the + at 1.75V . I know this will XP2400 + (2Ghz), but the bios is to limit my voltage 1.75V although I know the board supports do at least 1.85V . anyone have an idea about how to get additional settings, while running a CPU tbred? Thanks for any help!

maybe it's time to change the board… can't stick with a board that limits me to 1.75V :|

connect all the L11 bridges (or the ones cut), and you'll get back your board's 1.85v.

Re:just got some funny result of my 1700+…

The motherboard is MSI KT7V. However, the maximum voltage I can get is 1.6v. NOTHING higher.

At default voltage, I can go at 10×166(the default multiplier is 11). Any multiplier above it can't work with 166MHz, only 133MHz.

Haven't tried the "abnormal" bus speed yet…will do that later.

Re:My Epox 8k5a3+ can go up as high as 2.2v, but using anything higher than 1.75v actually make my TBred 1700+ crash sooner, no matter what cooling I have.

Re:Have the same setup, but am concerned about going any higher. Remember, these cpu's are the same A revision as the 2200+, there have been many reports of them failing after months of high voltages. Glad the kx7 is limited, really.

Abit must limit a % above stock settings or perhaps something similar. tbred- 1.5v, will go to 1.75, palimino- 1.75, will go to 1.85. Latest bios doesn't help, either. 8-22 bios doesn't properly recognize the tbred 1700's.
