Re:Yeah, I guess I'll end up doing that in a couple of days…even though Norton SystemWorks has fixed some problems, I just got it again – trying to save a .bmp I was editing, right before the "Save as" dialogue was being brought up, it froze and when I hit ctrl-alt-del, same old – green icon, no response.

Re:My cousin ran into this problem. the computer would hang. Majority of the time he uses the internet or his wife. it came down to a motherboard issue.
replaced it and he tried she tried and comp no longer hangs.

Re:Actually now the problem is this: I don't even have to have IE freeze for the Task Manager to mess up – seems to me that my computer simply needs to be on for some time for the problem to occur.
