Q: I play BF2 on two different computers, you have a 6800GT and 19 “LCD screen, the other a 9800NP and 17″ CRT. For some stupid reason EA thought it would be cool to tie video settings of the logged in user, not the computer is turned on. As much as I love the shaders optimize the changing back and forth to different computers, I was wondering if there was a way to globally video settings for each user on the computer. (Ie the logical way to do it, I love my tax list of favorites, a sheet of paper with scribbled on IP and info. Thanks EA: roll:).
At least they finally have the bug that made your teammates show solid red . sigh.

Well whenever you make a new account, you could just copy the video.con from your old profile to the new one.
This is the one that shows up in 'my documents', correct? Thanks for the tip, maybe I will just name the account xhi-res. Now the question is which weapon to unlock with the other account. (after thorough dissapointment with the DAO-12)
Re:I ran into this problem playing between my 2 computers. My desktop 6800GT does better than my go6800 in my laptop. I did it by doing the settings I wanted on both computers, but using the +szx/szy command to set their resolutions so that the performance ends up being equal.
This may not apply to you though since both of your monitors run at 1280×1024. If you want, just run the same settings on the 9800 as your 6800GT but just play at 1024×768 on your CRT

Try making another account?
I do have two accounts. That doesn't make it any less retarted to bind video settings to account that can be used on any computer, rather than a local file that would be used by all accounts. Even I can see that is flawed logic, and I am in no way a programmer. Unless EA figured out a way to transfer hardware over the internet.
Re:Try making another account?
Re:I don't play between multiple computers, but it'd be great if video settings were per computer and not per user.
Re:So I assume this can't be done. Great yet another reason for me to poke fun at EA and BF2.
