Best Answer: That's quite old and generally not advisable to upgrade considering what you can do…older parts are more expensive than today's counterparts. you could just get this to max out your ram..http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… you would need two sets…that would double what you have now..its the easiest upgrade though you have an LGA 775 socket the 915 chip set may hold you back with a CPU change, since it was made for HP.(generally "factory" Bios don't allow for updates) You do have a PCIe x16 slot so a better video card can be had..of course you may have to get a higher power PSU to go with it. I also note the Vcc of the card should be 5.0V I remember some years ago that was important as some cards wouldn't work if they exceeded it. Temps for the CPU should be in the 30C range (idle) while the GPU can be higher. IF your CPU is 58C I would remove the heat sink/fan..clean off the old thermal paste and replace it with Arctic Silver 5…clean all dust and dirt from the heat sink and especially the fan..and put it back on the CPU…If it doesn't drop the temps..you may have to go to an aftermarket cooler

Re:the leadtek is a very nice board…

at first I was going with the Asus, but I was put off by the idea of badly designed ACR+PCI bracket cards…
the leadtek is very nice in its design…
It's ACR has almost everything needed, so it only takes up 1 extra PCI slot…
granted it doesn't have as many usb ports as the Asus's card, it is enough for me all I wanted was one of each (USB/firewire/Optical out/ etc)

the only problem i have with it is disabling SATA, once I can disable it… im tons even happier :)
