Ask about Newcastle A64 C0 and CG steppings . [a64] [c0]

Q: Not sure if this is the right place for this . but .

Newegg two different Athlon 64 3000 + chip, is a model # ADA3000AXBOX http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-486u0026amp (; catalog u0026 = 23 amp; manufactory = Browse) and a model # ADA3000BOX (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-424u0026amp; DEPA = 0). I am a little confused, they both cost the same. Im guessing the one with the CG stepping AX? I saw the 3200 + and 3400 + AX also in their model names. I was just wondering if anyone else knew anything more about this.

Thanks.

Re:hey we have almost the same setup. When you go into the bios what speed is your system reporting? at every boot up mine is reporting a clock speed of 2200, and no changes were made

Re:Aha, thanks everyone. I think I'll order the one with CG stepping, just incase I ever decide to OC in the future.

Re:AX means its a newcastle core and is CG stepping

Re:I had the AX one (ADA3000AXBOX) and it is CG stepping (ADA3000AEP4AX) for sure.
