Give us 64-bit drivers, ATI!!!
I'm almost ready to jump ship and go with Nvidia.
Re:I'll echo that… WHERE ARE THE 64bit DRIVERS ATi?
I mean, I'm an avid ATi user but this really gets me… Nvidia's had them out for quite some time. This is the only thing keeping me from running Win64.

No kidding! Nvidia has released some but ATI is keeping there 64-bit drivers to the beta testers only for now. As soon as they are released I'll probably give XP 64-bit edition a shot, maybe dual boot or something. To answer the original question, the only hardware that needs to be 64-bit would be the CPU and a motherboard that supports it. All other hardware (memory, sound cards, video cards, etc) will work fine in the motherboard. The real problem is getting 64-bit drivers for that hardware as someone has already mentioned.
Re:Give us 64-bit drivers, ATI!!!
Re:No hardware requirements for 64bit sound, etc… Right now there are VERY few drivers for WinXP64. I had to put in an old (crappy) NIC card to get my WinXP64 to use its own drivers, and my Audigy card has sound, so I finally have a working version, but the video drivers are not great.
