Q: I bought a bundle and got zipzoomfly.com this
http: / / www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/.uctCode=80717-R-240412 (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail. Jsp ? ProductCode = 80 717 R-240 412)
When I have the motherboard, I decided to browse through the manual and it said that it only supports 1.5v video cards. I looked at my GeForce 6800OC and has only one slot (two slots are 1.5v me after this). What . . the heck. A new board that can not use 3.3V? This is very disappointing, because it costs me money to this problem (probably correct Send this mobo / CPU combo and get back something that is not currently pissing me off) 0.
tell me Im wrong please.

just scroll down to see the pictures of "not 1.5v" and such. That scared me, but thanks for the help, I really do appreciate it. /end newbie fear
looked at my geForce 6800OC and it only has one notch (two notches are 1.5v I found out)
Their site is not totally accurate, and is in fact kind of misleading. There are two notches on the card they show because it can work with both 3.3V or 1.5V. A one-notched card (depending on where the notch is) uses either 3.3V or 1.5V. Any AGP4X/8X card is either 1.5V-only, or can work with either 1.5V or 3.3V. But you'd be hard-pressed to find any 3.3V AGP gear made in the last 2-3 years.

Re:Um, 1.5V is the newer AGP signalling standard (used for AGP 4x and 8x). 3.3V is only used with archaic AGP 1X/2X cards and motherboards.
The 6800OC definitely uses 1.5V signalling, and is a 4X/8X AGP card. Whatever you saw that told you it was a 3.3V card is wrong.

Re:Someone on another message board said that the 6800 OC will automatically switch to a 1.5v usage, is this true? I've been scouring the internet for answers, but I still could use some insightful clarification. I'm in panic mode, help me obi-wan (insert your last name here), you're my only hope.
