Q: If I use the onboard Promise RAID controller and SATA ports off, because I have no SATA hard disk. It will not let me choose my floppy drive as first boot device. Anyone know why this forum? I worked on this for two weeks, and can not know why, and it makes me nuts.
In the bios under boot options, the floppy, CD drive and its all brackets, and it says they are disabled in the boot menu . HELP!

Re:Did you have the floppy set up on the first screen?
The raptor is a sata drive but the seagate is ide.
I have a slightly different mobo then yours, I don't have the E version. I checked my bios and I don't have any option to disable a promise controller, but I do have an option to disable the via raid controller which I have disabled. In that same menu I also have an option to enable / disable the onboard floppy controller.

Re:On the main screen in BIOS, with the date & time there is a listing for legacy diskette A. To the right of the it should read 1.44M 3.5 in, or something similar. Before you can even use it at all.
