Q: Asus P4G8X Deluxe, high speed ram
Well . I am building a new computer .( especially for gaming) and I stumbled across the brand-spankin new Asus P4G8X Deluxe MB. Looks good to me, AGP8X, SATA, USB 2, DDR, and 3.06 + with hyperthreading support. 4GB PC2700 ram but they list the max on the Asus site. (Http: / / usa.asus.com/mb/socket478/p4g8x-d/overview.htm). So here is my question . 1.) Is this the right MB for a new gaming computer and 2.) Can I say that in Horny PC3500 DDR RAM ?. I need to overclock? or will there be performance issues? or will it simply not start . thanks

Re:Well I can get 200 on a 8K9A2+ but I don't care about high FSB I just want to max the memory out and have a rock stable computer and have memory that will out live the mainboard, I know you don't need PC3500 right now but their is a lot of thing you don't need right now

I have tryed two different sticks and the best one got all the way up to 152fsb (3:4) before getting thousands of errors testing with MemTest86.
Anyway, all this will change when my P4G8X and (2X512Mb) Corsair PC3200LLPT get here.

and even if you did, xms3000 is still the better choice
