Q: Does anyone know a way to automatically search for lyrics and add them to ID3 tags? Im tired of the lyrics by searching online for a one

Re:go to your music folder, right click > properties> summary> advanced
there is a field for lyrics
also in musicmatch jukebox, editing track tags has a space for lyrics
maybe it is not a standard part of the id3 tags…..i always thought it was

Re:I don't think you understand….as guy0 mentioned, there is no space in either ID3v1 or ID3v2 tags for lyrics. Therefore, it's NOT possible to store the lyrical data in the tag itself.

Re:i 'm not sure what you meant by centralized databases…but there are plenty of lyrics sites online…search google for a song title and hundreds of them pop up, so i'd find it hard to believe that it is copyrighted, or at least, i should be entitled to have a copy of the lyrics if i buy a cd, just as i'm entitled to make a backup of the cd…..

Re:ID3v2 does not have the space limitations of ID3v1.
However, lyrics are copyrighted material so you won't be seeing centralized databases anytime soon.
