Q: Just bought a 2500 + Barton 333fsb refurb for $ 69 . but not snatch a good nForce2 refurb so I must test them backward compatible to 266 fsb it
Are? I want it on my AK77-333 (KT333 chipset) mobo to see if it works .

Re:It looks like that board has the 1/5 divider like my 8K3A+ KT333 board did so you can just set the fsb manually to 166mhz and the PCI/AGP will still be in spec and let you boot with the Barton most likely even though it won't ID it correctly. I saw they had no problem reaching 166fsb synch stable with it in this review link (http://www.vr-zone.com/reviews/AOpen/AK77-333/page5.htm) don't forget to manually set the multiplier.

Re:Certainly, although you'd be running at a slower speed if your front side bus and RAM is lower than 166 (133 MHz probably). The KT333 can do 166MHz fsb (333MHz DDR) as long as you have the RAM to support it (PC2700 or higher) and then the Barton will be running at full stock speed.
