best app for remote admininstration and applications? [orifice 2000] [pcanywhere]

Q: what is the best app out there for running applications and administering a remote machine .? I know there and Timbuktu, but they have a huge footprint and takes much overhead. there is Back , a pretty small footprint, but lacks some features . what I want can do is access to a machine on my home network, either from a laptop on an external network, or my work machine, and be able to access files, desktop apps running, running network apps, and the performing simple tasks in a relatively complex system of the machine on my home network. all network apps i execute on my home machine to show * that * machines network info (ip address, etc) and not be diverted via the client machine I use to access it from . You know what I mean .? (For example, if I work in, for example, 155.xxx domain, and my home network is 243.xxx and I use the 155 machine to run an IRC client that is installed on the 243 machine, the network information for the irc connection should show as being from the 243-domain, not 155). the home machine will be performed either or 2kpro 2kadv-srv . Thanks for any help or suggestions .

Re:Please be aware that remote administration programs like are security nightmares. They often have very nasty undocumented bugs (features) that will let any experienced cracker into your system.

Re:Also try terminal services that comes with win2k advanced server. It does exactly what you want and doesn't take too much memory when run it admin mode. I currently use it for remote administration and it works quite well :)
