Q: I have a client who wants a dual monitor setup on one machine we are building for him. I have not set up a dual monitor machine for years and I wondered what the best card to do with now was. Thank you.

unfortunately he still hasn't made up his mind on that just yet. We already know that he wants to be able to watch TV on one of them, but we don't know in what context. We have a phone call scheduled for today to help us narrow down just what it is that he wants. It could be anything from two LCD tv's to one of those dual screen LCDs with a TV tuner card.

Re:matrox makes the best multi-monitor cards, but you'll be paying some bank for those. but yeah, go with an nvidia card. you can get the 6800NU if you want that beast to be able to play some games and still have your dually

Re:Pretty much all vendors offer dual monitor support but Nvidia Nview is much superior to ATI Hydrovision. Go with Nvidia card of your choice.
