Q: I built my system as follows: 1 gig T-Bird, MSI K7T pro-2a, Elsa Gladiac GeForce2 GTS, Windows 98. Ive never had a problem with UT or Half-Life. BGII is unplayable and Diablo plays fine and then just freezes. I will restart my computer and restart Diablo and it will cool and then freeze. Can anyone give me an idea? I friggin love BGII and I can not play Diablo is just 3 years old and my system can not either?! : |

Re:Re-installing windows is pretty easy.. Just back up all the data ya don't want erase and then reformat with your win98 startup disk.. Then install windows.. And yes you would have to install all the drivers again. Its a good Idea to have all the newest drivers backed up before before you reformat..
Its pretty simple to do and it will get rid of all the garbage your system has accumulated since you did it last. Everything will run better for a while.

How much of a pain in the ass is it to re-install Windows? I would also have to re-install all my drivers too right?

I had a few problems with BG2 when I first bought it but after I re-did everything it worked great..The patches really helped fix the stability issues I had..
Re:I had BG2 installed and eventually it froze when I tried to re-enter the circus tent for the second circus related quest. It didn't uninstall properly so I used a program to help me unistall it. Now when I install it, It freezes during the Neverwinter Nights movie so I don't think it completes the installation process. I upgraded to DirectX8 and that didn't help.
