Broadband connection goes down w / inactivity [wireless connections] [inactivity]

Q: If I do not use the internet for about 2 hours or more, the connection dies. According to the estimate of the connection is in order, according to the LEDs on the modem and the router Calbe, its fine, but it will not connect. I tried to disable the connection and to see if it would work, no go. If I restart the computer, works fine. This applies to both wired and . I can not think of what changes when I restart, any ideas?

Re:Update: I checked the cable companies website, there is no disconnection for . I checked all the items in the menu for my router, found nothing. I can't access the menu for the cable modem itself, b/c i don't know the user name/password. I guess i'll have to call the cable company tomorrow. If anyone else has any ideas what could be causing this, please let me know. Thanks for the suggestions thus far.

Otherwise, most Routers have a menu that defines Activity/ time span.

Find the entry in your Router and make sure that it set to keep the connection always alive.
