burn video to DVD = poor quality, and saves each other half [plextor dvd burner] [pixelation]

Q: OK, I rebuilt my computer with the specs in my profile. but I kept my and put it in the new machine. in my old machine everything worked fine. I could burn video to DVD or Pinnacle DVD Shrink or whatever, and it worked fine. Now with my new build after I burn DVD and turn it into a DVD player I get severe and it saves a ton. much as you can not even tell whats going on. Why?

i have not changed. im burning at 8x (DVD burner, 16x) I used the same as DVDs do the same process. any idea why?

Re:My Samsung was like that. It was fine in one pc, then putting it in my current one,
decided to do the same thing w/ shrink. I tried firmware upgrades, but that did
nothing but waste more dvds. With my new NEC, I've backed up more than 50 of
our movies w/o a hitch. Maybe it was my switching to an Nforce4 mobo that my
samsung didn't like… now its been relegated to just dvd playing or cd burning.

Re:yes im using the same media. i am shrinking to my main drive then burning to dvd burner. no i don't do anything else while it is running.

ive also tried burning at 6x or 4x and still same result. its possible my burner has gone bad because i tried burning a cd today and it finished fine but could not be read by the computer. i don't see how it could have just gone dead moving it from one case to another. i was careful.

Re:are you using the same media?
