Q: I had the drivers installed 41.09. Then I installed the driver 43.45. When I played Command and Conquer Generals, I noticed that all the stuff in the menu that I was not able to build came in white instead of a dark picture of the actual object / building. I kept looking around and noticed that all the water everything was white. It Out coated the water along the coastline, etc.
So I decided I would unistall the drivers using Add / Remove Programs. I then installed my actuall dell drivers that came with my computer. Now I get an error message every time I boot I get the error up.
This verbatium.
error in C: WINDOWS SYSTEM NvCpl.dll
Missing entry: NvStartup
I was hoping that maybe someone else with this problem. Oh, and I noticed that the graphical glitches I was still there . Experience Employment
I would appreaciate any input.
Thanks, Guy-

Re:guy,you might want to try
Driver Cleaner 1.3 (http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/) ,it`s the best way I know of removing drivers (apart from a reformat) ,handy program to have for the future.
Re:Well, incase anyone else is having this problem. I found a temporary fix. I did as was suggested. Only after I removed my display adapter in safe mode I rebooted. Up until that boot Win ME autu installed whatever drivers it deemed neccesary. Hench I was unable to alter them manually. So this time I hit f1 through f12 until it gave me the option. I then chose PCI standard VGA adapter instead. Then when I got it booted up I reinstalled the 41.09 drivers. I no longer get that error when I boot. And all the wierd graphical errors I was getting are gone too. The problem is. If I ever change from 41.09 drivers again, I will have that problem… Rather strange I must say..
I'm wondering, if I was to purchase an ATI chip, would I still get that error? Because I was getting it when I had standard vga drivers in. Only it was saying it couldn't find the actual file instead of the error from the file..

Re:So, you mean boot into safemode. Remove the drivers from Add/Remove programs. Then before it restarts. Install like 41.09 dets?

Re:Can you boot into safe mode? Then maybe roll back the driver? Maybe even just install another driver version in safe mode?
