Q: Im running XP Pro on both my tower and laptop. For whatever reason, I can not see the tower on the network from the laptop and the tower PC I can not see (from the laptop and from the tower). The computer browser service is running. What else could it be?
Best Answer: Make sure network discovery is turned on. Go to control panel> click on network discovery .Also we put in a new update ( cant remember which) and it changed the network to business and changed the network name back to workgroup. Thats the default network name Right click on computer> scroll to properties > click on computer name tab> click change to see if your computer still has your network name.
