Q: These guys Dell computer does not seem to want to run Word 2000. He has Windows 98SE. Word just hangs when it gets to the home screen, but stops and exits your computer. I wanted to try to resolve the problem without reformatting and reinstalling Windows. Heres what I tried:
1. Reinstalling Works Suite (including word)
2. Opening in Safe Mode
3. Windows Update (He is up to date) 9,775,034. Have a Dell recovery, but not the one who formats the hard drive.

Q: Now, I have tons of different media (disks Bland) always says that no media in the drive. Got tried updating firmware etc.
it can read discs already written, but not noticing the blank CD / CDRW s grrrr

Q: preface to, this is not my first self-built PC, I got this PC to compile a few years ago and these parts to upgrade the current system, the ATX case and hard drives were not x2 replaced.
The new parts :
ABIT KN8 SLI mobo (Socket 939)
AMD 64 3700 + CPU (939) Radeon X1800XT Vid
Saphire Card
2x ram
Putting 1GB DDR sticks the pieces together was no problem, there were no physical defects that I could discern, however, when I first tried to start the PC

Q: The NEC 3500AG drive is an external drive into a USB 2.0 enclosure. I keep getting this error with nero and even Alcohol 120%. I upgraded the firmware from 2.16 to 2.18 . dont know what is going on.

Q: I try to load 98se on a clean formatted HD. It is a Quantum Bigfoot an HP HP machine.

Q: A friend of mine fed her computer and wants me to her new Hewlett-Packard desktop system. All I need to know before you do? ie . would guarantee that conflict, there is something inherent in HP machines that can cause a problem, properitary stuff, etc.?

Q: I have a 200GB Western Digital drive about two weeks ago it was installed and functioning properly.
