Q: do all the 8-series require the PCI-E power connector? Im looking for the bypass onboard nvidia GPU and get something better. I do not want the OEM 350 watt PS upgrade if possible. Sorry if this has been asked before.

EDIT: Im looking at the newegg pictures and I dont see the conector. But I remember reading somewhere that the 6 pin connector was needed.

Q: I have a brand new Plextor PX-708A. So far I have burned two DVD + R data, neither of which is readable in my DVD player or DVD drive of my roommate. I also tried them in a standalone Panasonic DVD player that plays MP3s (a DVD full of MP3s) can not read the disc. The Plextor reads them fine.

Both LiteOn drives are 163s, so I suppose it is possible that a problem with the discs. I have no other standalone drives try.

Anything else I could do wrong?

Q: Hey guys, sorry if this is an ultra noob question but I have no special drivers etc so my dual core is running well? All I had installed the AMD dual core driver of their website (the really old in May). I have the latest Windows updates. Do I need anything else so my dual cores are actually used?

Q: Well, I was all excited for my PIII 1GHz (one of the few teeth to get 100MHz) and overclock the snot out. I can not get more than 1050 mhz! My guess it has to do with the PCI bus speeds. But my 600E was overclocked to 800, and many bus speeds between without a problem. It will not boot to anything other than 105mhz bus. Is this chip a bad overclockers? Anyone have any ideas?
