CD-ROM device driver registry key [cd burning software] [device manager]

Q: Ive had this problem before . CD-ROM device in is disabled and will not allow me to enlist . I removed the and I have a feeling that this is caused, the OS is Win XP Pro, and someone posted on this site knows me the key and I took it out and it worked fine, anyone know problem / where the key is?

Best Answer: Remove it from by right clicking it and selecting uninstall, reboot and let windows auto detect it again, reload your drivers, visit the manufacturers website for the correct drivers.

Delete the following two keys

UpperFilters

LowerFilters

Re:ya i tried that it comes back up.. and when i go to enable the device it reacts so quick.. theres not a problem with the physical drive just the registry key.. anyone know anything about this? ill keep surfing around..
