CDROM boot, tried varios solutions. [asus a7v133] [boot sequence]

Q: We can not boot from CDROM
CDROM BIOS is detected and set to boot from CDROM
System continues to boot from the hard drive
We wants to install a new OS so we win98 CD in the CD-ROM, but its not boot from ROM it
CD In the first boat sequence

Re:Also make sure the BIOS is up to date. My A7V (the original A7V) would recognize the DVD-ROM and CD-RW but Win XP would not. Turns out that by updating the BIOS, it will automagically fix the problem.

Re:Also make sure that your hard drive is hooked up to the Primary ATA 100 controller (The one next to the Mobo battery. "Not" the Raid controller)

Re:guy … On the you must "Disable" booting from the hard drive in the bios. Then it will boot from the CDrom if the CD is bootable. After installing the OS "Enable" the hard drive in the bios.
