Q: Just out of curiosity, because I can not find a direct comparison between the two cards, what would the difference in performance between a 7600GT and an X1900 card?

which one.
on average i'd say more than 2x the difference. (for the xt+ models)
plus more features.
With whatever the x1900 All-in-Wonder would be running (is that a vanilla x1900?)
a 7600gt is around ~30-40% slower than the x1900AIW in most games.

there are no vanilla x1900s.
theres the x1900gt, which only has 36 shaders, but it still pretty on par with a 7900gt. the x1900 aiw, just has much much lower ram clocks and core clock (iu think its like 500/1000) compared to the normal Xt which is somethingl ike 625 core and 1500 ram.
the 7600gt really is no match. a 7600 gt co sc from say evga at 600/1580 might barely be able to keep up with the x1900gt or the x1900 aiw
Re:toms charts have the comparison
so does xbitlabs
but 1900XT/XTX is usually around 2-3 times or even faster than a 7600GT especially at higher res.

Re:Not much of a comparison, period.
The 7600GT is more in-ine with X1800 GTO (http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/326/23/)
That's why you can't find it anywhere.
