Q: I try to set up a wireless home network and other than the basic I am lost. If I have a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 Smart Router / Access Point, which desktop wireless adapter will work?
Does also need to Buffalo, or would it simply be 802.11g compatible with another brand? If any brand will work, anyone a suggestion for a reliable adapter?
Thanks
Re:Thanks, I appreciate the help

Its always a good idea to get the router and adapter of the same make if you can.
For Recomendations – Personally I like Linksys and never had any problems with them. Works pretty fast for me. NetGear also has lots of fans
I'm Linksys shy right now. I have had trouble with them in the past, so I think I am going to try D-Link or Buffalo this go around and see if I get any better results, but I appreciate the feedback.

Any Brand would work at 802.11g
Buffalo Card would do the 125Mb/sec. Mode, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833162112
Buffalo High Power Card with the High Power Router is the Best, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833162128
I need a Wireless Desktop Adapter, the notebook adapters won't help me, but I'll do some surfing and see if I can find a Buffalo HP desktop adapter. Thanks for the feedback.
