Q: I have a motherboard MSI K7T Pro 2-A and a Duron 800 MHz CPU is not overclocked and now the diagnostic LEDs on the motherboard show all the Red . Does this mean my motherboard and / or CPU just died on me?
Thanks!
Best Answer: Back up all your important files and reformat. Thats no doubt the best way to go. This is a device that allows you to do so:

You connect the old hard drive to this device, and then the device to a another computer or laptop via USB. You would then be able to access all the files on it.
Best of luck!

Re:If you have a spare processor to test with, that would probably be a good idea – or if you could test your processor in a friend's machine… what was your computer doing when you left it on? Maybe there was a power surge that didn't blow it up, but just kind of messed it up a little?

There was a blue screen…not a microsfot BSOD but there was only three chars *–. I thought. "W2K crached ?strange…. well i just restart the machine' When I restarted it… nothing came up on the screen.. Opened the computer to find that all the diagnostic lights were red…….

Re:what kind of ram are you using. i believe that mobo is a 266mhz fsb right? you have to set some jumpers on the mobo b/c the duron only runs at 133 i belive. i had that problem on my old duron rig a while back.

Re:check your mobo manuals error codes
make sure the ram is well seated, the proper jumpers are set for your duron (not sure if your mobo uses jumpers or not, for perhaps the fsb)
thats just a couple things i could think of, if thats not it and you have access to another cpu that will work in that board, or another board that could use that duron, try switching to see if something is messed up, ditto for the ram
