Q: So I am in the role of IT for the common man my fathers business (its only 4 comps not that big of a deal, but im still a noob network) and I need to see what people do. We will get some help at the office soon and I will be looking at what they have done on the computer. I want to be sure to work 8 hours a day and not farking around on myspace for 6 of those hours. aside form block certain sites, such as popular whats a good program I can install and run which are not visible will tell me where they go online and what they do on the comp in general?
Cliffs:
Need computer / internet monitoring software can run invisibly in the office to help the comp.
Best Answer: I read here in Yahoo answer about this particular software called Keyprowler, I downloaded this and indeed I was so amazed with the features of this software. Keyprowler can record ALL computer and internet activities made including screenshots and keystrokes done. You can also view messages sent in social media sites such as Facebook, Myspace, twitter and other sites. You can also see passwords for those sites. You can also view IM messages sent (YM, AOL,GTALK etc.) I am not sure if this is specifically made for business owners to monitor their employees because if this is the case, then this is something all employers should have..a really must have.

On WinXP, I don't have a particular program to recommend, but tangentially, run a Limited account plus an SRP (http://www.mechbgon.com/srp) to control what's installed on the computer or run from, say, a flash drive. At least that will keep the computer from getting trashed by the help. If you have normal software like Microsoft Office, that'll work fine. If you have weird software like QuickBooks, I can suggest a way to force it to work, LMK.
