Q: How can I convert a mpeg2/divx movie to a format that I can make a video CD? I tried w / nero, had to download a DVD MPEG2 video plug-in. When I went to the mpg file to add to the list on the left, but told me about something that does not match the video, and it was MPEG2, and gave me three options:
basically was the first not to pursue and to ignore
the half was running the code was a file
last cancel.
I choose the first because I thought it would work, but now it will not bring up the option anymore and just uses the first option if it gets this error . I want the second to see if that would work, but I cant.
HELP PLEASE !?!?! choose

Have you tryed the option that i said?
ya, i did it with that option. i think the file was just messed up. its gone now…oh well
Re:Have you tryed the option that i said?
Re:maybe its just the movie, oh well i have to reformat my hard drive now because of windows corruption stuff so i guess im just gonna delete it since i can always download again…..don't feel like wastin cds cause im not gonna watch it on my computer…..lol
Re:Options –> Enviromental settings –> VFAPI Plug-Ins –> Set Prioity of DirectShow Multimedia File Reader to 2.
Now try.
Re:No, it doesn't let me open it! Even virtual dub doesn't let me open it. In virtual dub it says pack initialization error when i hit open file. I want to go back and choose option 2 in that nero plug-in but see no way to go back to it.
Re:Video CD's are in mpeg format. TMPGEnc is for converting .avi's to mpeg format so you can burn them in VCD format. Try just ignoring the error and see what happens, cd-r's are cheap
Re:Ok, i figured it out. I downloaded the program, but when I click my video file as the source, this is what it gives me:
File "C:\My Shared Folder\-=IM=-Zammen 1 of 3.mpg" can not open, or unsupported.
What's the problem now?
