Q: That is very annoying and its not that my system lacks the resources either.
I have tried to copy with my burner and my DVD-R may think the writer does better DAE or something. When I try to copy a music CD from the CD to the HD, everything is going well until I do ANYTHING while copying. Not even surfing. If I do, I get nothing but “white noise instead of music. What is the problem?
Best Answer: Each one gets a separate plan, just like Verizon.
Re:no.. unless the music files are mp3 – what you are doing is RIPPING.. ever look at a music CD files ? there are no big WAV files on the cd – there are .cda tracks.
that's why u have to rip it.. use EAC & dump WMP…
Re:Hmm, maybe I used the incorrect terminology. I use WMP to COPY the music off the CD to my HD. So I can burn compilation CDs and/or convert the .wmp file to a .mp3 file.
I hope that makes sense…

Thanks, JoinT. I'll check it out. Is that a media player? Can I watch movies with it?
no, but I have to ask you this – why do you use a Media Player to rip CD's ?

Re:Michael – WMP is a POS resource hog…. besides – there's WAY better rippers out there – for free.
Exact Audio Copy (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/) best cd ripper there is… PERIOD
don't bother w/ that POS wmp anymore – just download this & rip away…
Re:Bump. I know I'm not only one using WMP…I'm getting a new Burner (Liteon 40x) and a new DVD (Liteon L163) Both do DAE very well. Hopefully, that solves my problem.
