Q: Well one month ago I thought I was in love with my Vista Home Premium x64. Then the Sata ODD would not work. Then the graphics drivers went kaput without explanation. Then my PCI-E SATA would not work.
. Now, after downloading the latest version of CPU-Z, it causes an instant shutdown when I click on the icon. I can not imagine what caused this. Any ideas?
Re:Did you try running Orthos and/or memtest? How are temps?
Re:Thanks for the replies. The settings are stock, the motherboard is brand new from RMA, and the PSU (Zalman 600-HP) is less than 3 months old. The reason I thought it was vista is because the week before with XP it was perfect. Anyhow, seems as though it fixed itself (lol).
Re:Ya the OS wouldn't be my first thought if things began to up and die on me for no reason.
Re:Looks like the mobo is on its deathbed.
Re:Is your cpu overclocked?
Reset everything back to stock or defaults.
Run Orthos and/or Memtest to ruling out hardware related failures.
Otherwise it sounds like your mobo and/or psu may be on her last leg.
