do you think this can also run Vista? [integrated graphics] [dell core duo]

Q: Its a laptop, or so.1gb 1.7ghz ram, 7200 rpm hard drive, and it has the integrated Intel 945G graphics.

According Microsoft, the Windows Vista with the Aero interface. My only concern is that everyone will be very slow.

Has Vistas Aero used with integrated Intel graphics? How did it run?

Best Answer: That sounds very convincing, I would definately go with it. Now to be 100% honest, at least half of the stuff you said is untrue, but hey who cares really, it sounded convincing so go for it. One thing I can think of is if you can weave in the whole argument about multimedia stuff like videos and photos, Macs are far superior in that regard. Again in reality that is total crap, but most people tend to believe it so go for it. Good luck!

Re:Aero isn't really that demanding but you can always just turn off transparencies and a few other stuff, the real benefit of Aero is that it renders the desktop with the GPU, increasing speed and elimination clipping and draw errors.

Your graphics chip will handle Aero just fine.

It'll run like a champ with those specs.

Re:ok, i was just worried if the graphics was good enough.

For some reason when i think of aero, I think of running a game the computer cant handle and getting like 8 fps…but it probably runs smooth as long as your hardware supports it.

Re:That's actually a decent laptop for Vista. I wouldn't expect to be rocking the latest games, but for Aero, the machine is fine. It would be nice to bump the memory to 2GB. A readyboost stick might help you a bit too, but your fast laptop drive is a blessing.
