Does anyone have the Artic Cooler (Not Circle) in stock? [artic cooler] [stock]

Q: This thing is impossible to find.

Alphas sold too.

ARGH .

Re:Midnight, I'll want to be on this too if it's not too late.

Re:LOL a 100,000 units minimum…
that will be $1,008,592.00 with shipping and taxes. will that be cash or visa.
…. will 4 bars of gold do :)

Re:I definitely want to get one. Please add me to your list.

Wes

Re:You're in MW2.

I'm guessing my actual cost per unit will be = ~$29 + $1.80 tax + ($6+$4)/"x" units for shipping and handling (they charge a handling fee, plus $4 UPS Ground). I've definitely got four on order, plus as noted, will add to the order if more people want them.

I will email you later this evening, tomorrow morning at latest, to let you know exactly where we stand on the order.

Re:Hmm… if the price + shipping + tax to you is under $40, put me down for 1. Add in the dollar plus your shipping to me, (i'm guessing 1 + 3.60 for Priority mail) and I'm in.

Re:No no no … the is NOT the same as the Artic Circle. Yes, they are both made by HP/Agilent though.

Every supplier Agilent referred me to is backordered on these things, most companies until Jan.1 or later.

But I did find one source and I am placing an order (they have a min. quantity). Pricing to me is approx. $29 ea. + tax + shipping, won't know total till I get the bill. They do not give a price break for quantities, but it would cut down the shipping cost per piece. If we can get a large enough order together, I'd be willing to do it for a very small profit per unit (say, $1) plus actual shipping costs. And don't think about screwing me over on a deal – I will just sick my uncle from Youngstown (OH) on you … well, as soon as he gets out of the 'Pen. :Q :Q

Respond in this thread if you want one – I will check back in approx. 5-6 hours and then place my order (note: I already have a few on order, but was told I can add to the order up until 6pm PST).

Re:Beast, that one is backordered as well.

Re:Nah… we can't buy 100,000 of them anyway.

Also, ArctiCooler and Arctic Circle should be the same thing, the Circle was also designed by the company I think. And HardOCP called the Arctic Circle an older version of the ArctiCooler.

Re:Anybody up for a "mass buy" ? :Q

Re:But we want the CA for FC-PGA CPUs. These were already supposed to be in production. I contacted Newark Electronics, one of HP/Agilent's main resellers, and they told me they are on backorder. Pricing I have seen for the CA (Pt.# HACA-0001) has been from $28-34, nowhere near as low as the CB or CC models. Also, there is a minimum order quantity of 300 at some places I checked out. :frown:

Re:damn cheap for OEMs, but at least $25 for retail(us) purchasers… :(

Re:The Arcticooler CB and CC models are in prototype stage right now, and will begin volume production next month.

Arcticooler Press Release (http://www.semiconductor.agilent.com/news/pr/22aug2000.html)

<< Production prototypes of the ArctiCooler models CB and CC are expected to be available in September 2000, with volume production by October 2000. The model CB will be priced at $10.50, and the model CC at $7.80, both in 100,000 unit volumes. >>

Pretty damn cheap.
