Re:I switched from intel 2200b/g to atheros 6002x, and let me tell you, it's a world of difference.
Finds signals that the intel never saw, signal strength is stronger, I get better speeds.
But the intels have been a hit and miss (mostly miss from what I've been reading)

Re:at one time i had a 100 mw cisco 350 pcmcia card, it was a noticable difference, but my concern with those 400mw ones is how clean is the signal, i mean sure i can put a 1 watt amp on my pci linksys card, but it wont come close to the singal quality of my cisco pci 350 card with the same amp…yes i know those are old cards, and yes im aware that a 1 watt amp on a 100 mw card is scating teh edge of the legal limit for that sprectum… but i can still do it

? Don't most of the new laptops have the Athernos card now? I just wanted to know if I would actually see any noticable difference with range compared to my current one. Especially that 2X range technology they refer to.
