Dual Boot WinME and Win2Kpro left my hd in shock . what do I do? [partition magic 6] [maxtor 30gb]

Q: The problems occurred on the following drive configuration:
1 HD w / 2 partitions and Win2k Pro (D, E and 25GB 5Gb large) win2k was on the 5GB partition
1 WD 13.5GB HD w / a partition and was WinME
I dual-boot with win2k as default

well I installed and I had to convert my d-partition, which at the time that a FAT32 file system to NTFS. I had it e-partition logical to convert a primary drive.
long see, after a reboot, my computer will not boot because a file can not be removed win2k located.

i now have the 30GB HD that computer another Win98SE system. of course, I am still unable to view the contents of the drive to see. what do you guys I do, thx?
btw, I still need some files on the Maxtor that are too large to fit on a floppy disk. I do not have access to a win2k machine and am unable to locate my win2kpro CD to install.

Re:i've always thought you should make either windows ME or win98 as the default primary dos partiton especially when dual booting with win2k. Enlighten me if that is a bad idea.
