Q: Do my chances with 600650700 or higher? I hope to hit 950 at least if not an act. Just got an Asus A7V mobo and would like to deploy a Duron. I know her first as the CPU, the speed issue, but that speed hits more frequently occur?

Re:Well, @ work i've been experimenting and the 600 i've gotten up to 950 max. With the 700, I hit a gig easily. So, thats just based on my personal experiences. The shop I work for is pro-intel and we don't get many people wanting AMD machines, so we have heaps and heaps or A7Vs with dipswitches and Duron 600/700 around for me to mess around with

Re:They all have the same core. They all have potentional of hitting the same speed and it's just lucky wether you get a good or not. In some cases you can get 950 w/a 600 just as good of odds as you can get 950 w/an 800 so why not just go w/the cheapest buy?
But the 600's are no longer being made so I'd hurry up and get one if you find one. Lowest is a 700.

From what I have seen and read from forums and the overclockers.com cpu database, it is really luck of the draw so far with the 600's – 700's. The Duron 700's have a slight advantage, but not a big enough one to be able to say that they will reach a higher mhz than a 600 in a majority of cases.
The 750's and 800's are another subject since they are relatively new and not many have been purchased and tested by overclockers though the 800's so far look real promising in the reviews from hardocp.com and others.

Re:A 700 will be your best bet for hitting 950+. 600-650 should do it, but the 700 just has more potential.
