Q: I tried to get my first DVD Ripp and it seems ok to have completed all of the files suit with the PDB. Now, I try to burn to SVCD, but can not find the cue / bin files if DVD2SVCD Q u0026 A suggests. Obviously with this, I can not mount a drive virtuarl using the virtual disk Dameon tool. If the mpeg files to play on the PC, it plays fine. Wheres the cue / bin file so I can burn?
Any ideas to start?
Re:Yes there should be more. Alot more… Video Pulldown, converting your jpg files for change CD and Title Pic over to mpeg, mutliplexing and cutting the mpeg, then it analyzes the audio and determines the length, then it finally makes the CD Images…. your missing all that.
Try going into the misc tab and loading the SVCD-Settings.ini file… that should enable almost everything you need… the main options Id change from that settings is turning off 48.1—>44.1 audio downsizing… as long as your player supports 48.1 which most do, there is no reason to downsize.. it just takes extra time. And you might need to set your TMPEG settings up again… Highly recommend VBR 2 Pass. And I also recommend changing BiCubic Resize your c value to .7 or .75… I use .7 myself.
Re:It's not finishing. You should have a bunch of stuff after TMPGenc is done. That is when the bin/cue files are created. I don't have an old log handy to look at. You should see some stuff related to VCDXBuild. Check your CD Image tab and make sure that "VCDXBuild" is checked at the bottom and not the "Don't make Images" option.

Am I suppose to see a SVCD completed line after this? Did the creation ended prematurely?
Also, I noticed the encoding took a long time (I would say it was around 5 hrs or so.) with multiple passes.
My goal is to burn into multiple CDs (if necessary) using Nero using the movie as a virtual drive (using Dameon virtual drive tool). Also, any other good tools that does virtual drives? Dameon tools is crashing my system. According to their FAQ, it maybe due to a previous Easy CD 2000 install I had in the past. Anyways, I willing to try another tool.
I can post the whole ripping log but it would be quite long.
As for the Misc folder, it's default with input DVD and output mpeg-2. EVerything else is untouched.
Re:I don't have problems just calling the cue file from Nero.
Re:Go to the CD Image tag and check the folder part, thats where the image will be. Also if you try and burn it with nero youll get a error… it cant find the bin file… atleast Nero has this problem with me, you need to edit the .cue file and put in the full path of the .bin file, not just the file name like it does normally.
Re:Check what you have your default output folder set to in the Misc tab. If it's not there, check the log – something probably didn't work right.
Re:Did you tell it to make image files? Did the log show "SVCD creation complete"? where did you look for the image files?
Re:btw, when I used DVDSVCD I just used the default settings. Another word, went to Conversion, selected the IFO file then hit "GO". I didn't mess with any settings.
