Q: I have the game, problem is that it blocks my whole system is about 20 seconds after loading the game and menus. No matter which menu Im looking.
i the game and updated my drivers. No other game does this so I doubt it latches and hinges. anyone else this problem?

Re:I mounted mine with Alcohol. FEAR doesn't allow emulators, but I was able to find an easy fix for that. Works great now.

Re:I had a lot of 'disc can't be authenticated' issues with my director's cut dvd as well. I applied the 1.01 patch with the same problems and then found a no-cd/dvd .exe on site the has them for a lot of Games.
I think that should be okay since I am not using a Copy. I am sure if you Google it, somewhere in the World you should be able to find the working patch.

Re:I am able to play it right after I install it (DVD Director's Cut). ONCE. After that I have to uninstall and reinstall. I have tried every known issue. But it doesn't matter, I doing a fresh install of windows this weekend. HOPEFULLY it will work after that. If this keeps up, I will be po-ed that i wasted $50 on game I cannot play. I even tried nocd patch.
