Q: The printer / fax is printing test and regular Word documents. But when I try to print Newegg invoice, a message appears: Failed to print. Printer setup conflict. I can not print emails, either.
Do I have a printer? Or is this a matter of adapting the institution? Thank you.
Re:Finally, I thought Amazon.com might have a user review for the same problem. And I guessed right. Following his lead, I googled and found that Win2k Service Pack Update Rollup 1 caused the problem. I deleted it, computer didn't work without it, reloaded the computer with Win2k SP4 but NOT Update Rollup 1. It's working now. Thanks. Whatever Update Rollup 1 may be, I am missing out some useful update. Oh, well.

Re:Is your printer B/W only?
Maybe your browser is trying to print color and causing the error?
Open IE
Under File
Print Preview
There's an Icon at the top for "Page setup"
Check those settings, esp "Portrait" / "Landscape" & make sure they match what you've got
set in your printer driver.
Re:Yes, it is selected as the default printer.
It prints word documents well. It just refuses to print e-mails and Internet Explorer related documents (like newegg receipts, Circuit City online order receipts, etc.) And hte message is Printer Setting Conflict.
Thanks.
Re:Well, just to double-check the obvious, is the printer – not the fax component – listed as the default printer (does it have a check next to it)?
Re:No, it is the only printer connected to the computer.
I followed the installation instruction and it printed out Windows test page.
Thanks.
