Fed with AGP stall . Solved: blown capacitors [agp 2x] [agp 8x]

Q: So just about every time I boot my computer .
The beautiful voice interface (Aopens) tells me “Your AGP may be a problem”
Reboot w / reset switch
Does they again
Reboot by closing PSU
most time ends work right

The vid card is an (GeForce FX 5200) on a /4x mobo.
Yes It would probably be the source of the problem, but these cards are considered to be compatible with previous AGP specs . are they not?

Worst case, I just turn my old vid card and the new (or sell) for the next mobo with an real slot

In the meantime, there is a way to get rid of that problem?

mobo: Aopen AX34 Pro II
Vid Card: MSI GeForce fx5200
Old vid: Aopen MX-256 Pa (2 Geforce MX)

And for those miracle Im not really a big difference between the two, never benchmarked them .

Re:Hang on, I thought 4x and 2x AGP cards were backwards with 8x slots…. NOT 8x cards backwards with the slots… THEY USE A DIFFERENT VOLTAGE!!! 1.5V vs 3.3V surely.

Re:Just a referencing thread – my old one is too old for the archives :)

Re:THis happened to me a while back and the mobo manufacturer sent me a free replacement

there was an article on the web about this same time sayin there was an influx of crappy capacitors from asia and mobo manufacturers were gettin popped boards back at a higher rate

Re:Last Update…
That Mobo didn't have the best capacitors.
out of the 4 types there were… EVERY 1000uf cap leaked and the worst one was right next to the agp slot.
AGP was crapping out because it couldn't get a clear signal until the caps were a little hotter.

Re:I would opt to throw it out of a window, rather than bridge but thats my opinion.

Mobo going to implode soon? dunno, you could wait and see.

Re:bump again…
can anyone just plain tell me if there's anything i can do or just get the cash out and get a new motherboard ?
I'm really not in the mood to change my whole computer right now. I just want it to boot and work at the first flick of the switch.

EDIT: And those who think the throw down a bridge is a good idea… Well it would if it had blown up

Re:that AGP problem comes up when the computer has been shut down for more than 1-2 hours.
I've tried guy's suggestion to take out all pci cards: no use
I've tried putting back the old vid card in, it does me the same problem in the same conditions.
I seriously suspect the motherboard.

What now… ?

Re:Take out all of the PCI cards as a fact-finding step and let's see what happens.

Re:Bios: Flashed it few months ago 1.15
The power supply is an enermax 350W — > definitely enough power

Sorry for not posting everything
