Re:Well I'm out of ideas. I'd say RMA time.
Re:I see there is a power connector on the video card, do you have that plugged in?
There is a 4-pin connector on your motherboard, it's square and right by the big power connector. There should be a plug coming of the power supply that goes there, make sure that's plugged in too.

Re:where would you find that information out?
Re:I had this problem, does your new motherboard require the 4 pin molex connector? Might wanna double check that.
Re:sorry for so many posts in a row but any more help?
Re:ok the monitor stopped cuz the video card wasn't locked in…now i locked it in and the monitor is on but it still turns off after 1-3 minutes
Re:btw all fans are spinning….i have 4…..one built in with the motherboard…one in the psu….one i put in…and one on video card…..all work
Re:ok now something happened…the monitor wont turn on but now the LCD screen says 7F
and some other times when i turn it on it says 25
Re:i can excess the bios now…..i just switched the jumper from 1-2 to 2-3 but after 2 minutes the computer turns off by itself… what do i do now? thanks for all the replies guys

I would reset the BIOS. Jumper and power off holding the button down.
CFh Test CMOS R/W functionality.
I saw that in the manual, so they list it twice but that didn't make much sense to me. CMOS write would only apply during a flash I would guess. If it can't be read from, then I suppose that could be a problem.

maybe there is something wrong with the power supply?
Does the CPU fan spin up and any other fans you may have? Or can you heard the hard drive or lights on the opticals going? If so, I'd say the PS is OK.
Re:I would reset the BIOS. Jumper and power off holding the button down.
CFh Test CMOS R/W functionality.
This is the error or LED post code he is receiving.
If after resetting the BIOS and reseating all the daughterboards I would RMA the MB.
Re:No POST eh? No beeps, nothing? First thing to do is reseat EVERYTHING. Do just check that's it's tight, pull everything that connects to the mobo and replace. If that fails and you're not willing to try a different video card, then you'll need to remove the mobo from the case and place it on a non-conducting surface like cardboard. Reinstall the cpu, cooler, RAM and video card….connect the PS and jumper the PS jumper on the mobo momentarily. If it doesn't POST still, you'll have to start swapping parts until you find the culprit. After all that, you'll know if it's the mobo.

Re:i'm posting on my family computer and no i cant
Re:Originally posted by: guy
if its the motherboard , what could be wrong with it?
The AGP slot may be bad. That's why I said to verify that the card is good. What machine are you posting on right now? Can you swap the video cards?
I can't believe no one else is in this thread…
Re:ok i took it out and put it back in but it didnt do anything :-\
Re:if its the motherboard , what could be wrong with it?
Re:Sometimes just taking things out and putting them back in works wonders. Do you have another video card or another system to test this card in? Just because the fan spins doesn't mean the card is good. If you saw the post screen, then it went blank, I'd think differently, but since you've never seen anything, that is what I'd focus on.
If you find out FOR SURE that the card is good, then I'd suspect the motherboard.
Re:the video card is fine tho…the fan on it is spinning …you sure that will help?
and thanks for the quick replies and help
Re:Originally posted by: guy
i cant se anything on the monitor
reseat video card and heck, check all connections.
Re:i cant se anything on the monitor
Re:Here's from the manual:
FFh or CFh
1.BIOS chip inserted
incorrectly
2. Incorrect BIOS update
version
3. Mainboard problem
4 . Add-on card inserted
incorrectly.
My guess would be maybe you need to update the bios or reseat the video card. Can you see the post stuff or nothing at all?
