For the love of GD . I love adjusting my monitor! , HELP! [kds avitron] [love]

Q: I have a KDS AV-21TF Avitron, the picture is great, but making this fine-tuning adjustments are driving me crazy!

Is a sort of online documentation for anal people like me who helps them figure out what all those controls do? Or better yet, a type of program?

I must state that it is not the color I play with, its all the other controls . many of them!

Thanks,

Mitch

Re:You know, sometimes I wish we were back in the good old days when
electronic stuff had actual KNOBS!!!
Sometimes I get so frustrated at my monitor when all I want to do
is make it brighter and I have to almost "program" it to do it.
But it's not just monitors…it's all electronic stuff.
Ever try to program an electronic thermostat for a house?????

Re:hah hah.. yeah.. You have brought up a good issue here though.. They really should make some sort of utility that perfects it for you, as guy said.

Re:Welcome to the fun of driving yourself insane while crossing your eyes two inches from the monitor.

Nokia _did_ have a good test utility, but they packed up shop and sold everything to Viewsonic. I still have the Nokia utility here (http://www.pagesz.net/~joe/mon_test.zip) that you can grab if you want/need. Read the help file – it explains a few things.

Re:patience is the key… but thats the thing i've always thought was lacking with monitors,… they need to have sort of dynamic intelligence that can sense video input and adjust the screen to be perfectly square and flat for you… the adjustments can be a real pain and for people like me with non-perfect eyes, the screen never sits "just-right"…
