Q: Hey all
Im getting a computer for work . Nothing special, no simple decent graphics, good speed cpu / ram, stuff like that that.
i m looking for a place to buy the whole box for about 600 and below. I already have monitor, keyboard, mouse and other things . only the box is needed.
any suggestions? good shops?
oh and I want to stay away from Compaq, Dell and all the other computers store .

Go here www.gotapex.com for Dell deals. The above deal is not good. You can do far better. I've seen the 4600 going for 239.00

Re:i just never liked dells policy.. i mean this goes like 5-6 years back..but this whole "you wont need more then what we give you" approach.. like i remember dealing with a dell a while back and it was a pain.. maybe things change..

Why? For a work machine, a Hot Deals Dell is hard to beat, especially if you want a legal copy of Windows. Since you don't need gaming, you could get one of the small and quiet boxes too.
