Q: I am currently managing a large family with five computer 802.11b network and a cable modem network connection. The problem is that the children using file sharing programs like Kaza the loading systems addware / spyware and browser hijackers. The parents do not want unsolicited downloaded content on the network and are willing to pay for a protected music file downloading program. They are also strict restrictions on the web browsing so IRC is out. Personally I am not comfortable with an actual file sharing or anything can access the network without my knowledge, so a file share is not the type of program is a plus. Obliviously, the online company that such a program will not use the credit card number on a fraudulent manner.
I fri clueless about the whole downloadable MP3 acting as my personal system features a 26.4 Kbps connection to the network, which makes downloading music too much slow.
Thanks for any info.

Re:Piolet (http://www.piolet.com) is a pretty good mp3 only file sharing network. It's the same as Blubster (http://www.blubster.com) which is just another client.
Also, a lot of people swear by Soulseek (http://www.slsk.org), also an mp3 only p2p client.
