You need those drivers man, they are the most crucial drivers for the system. And uhhh, that system shutdown problem has nothing to do with via drivers. That is a common Windows98se problem. Hit the windows update button under tools in IE. And dl the Patch. Its called like Shutdown Suplament.

Re:just running the exe might not do it…might just give you a flase sense of accomplishment…make sure they're actually installed by going under device drivers and checking…i had to manually install my ide busmaster drivers and agp drivers
