Re:Im betting the mother board drivers on the old operating system conflict with new system. Heres my thoughts on it. (based on it booting to the safe mode part)

You can
1-get another drive and install operating system on it, using the old drive as a d:Drive
2-delete windows dir in dos. and reinstall windows on that drive(not a great idea)
3-try to get the drivers for the new motherboard(including drive conrollers ect) installed, probably have to do on your old system. This is a big pain…its sometimes possible though if you must do it.

Re:I got the old system to run again, but when I retried the new system with my old HD it DID recognize it but it would show boot up option screen where I can load Safe Mode or Continue Normally in which either choice just send it back into a loop of restarting and going through the whole process all over again.
