Q: Hi.
My friend had a hotmail account, but her brother hacked her password etc, so someone had created another account. The account username is exactly the same except instead of xx@hotmail.com its xx@hotmal.com . without me in hotmail!
Yes weird doing and they know how the e-mail to her account so that they cannot verify if it just says its MSN Account verified
Can not help everyone check?!
Best Answer: If you have an email address where you can get pop access (I think you have to pay for this with Hotmail), for instance a Gmail or Yahoo account, you can easily set up Outlook Express to download them to your computer.
If you don't have an account, set up one with Gmail or Yahoo;
Set up Outlook to access the emails via POP – there are instructions on their sites;
Forward your emails from your Hotmail account to your new Gmail or Yahoo account;
Access them from Outlook.
Bob's your aunty's husband!
Long winded, but it works for free.
Re:Save urself the whole entire headache!!!!! Get a Google Gmail account beats the hell out of hotmail, yahoo and all other web based emails combined. In fact, PM me and I will send you an invite. Problem solved. Hotmail sucks! So does Yahoo mail. Gmail is almost 3GB storage and just rocks anyway. PM me if you want that invite.
**EDIY-
Hotmail is only good for one thing, a user name for my MSN Messenger! 3
**DUBL EDIT-
ISP, pop3, Outlook mail sucks, too unless you are gonna stay with ur ISP forever. What if you move away from ur ISP?? Web mail is the best. I prefer Gmail.
Re:I would never, EVER, use a mailserver named "Hotmal.com". Never…..ever….
Never.
The hotmal.com web site is a porn site. There's no MX record. The domain registration is hidden by GoDaddy's proxy.
Never.
Re:im sure they did but thats not the problem… we just want to be able to verify this @hotmal acount but cant because we dont know how to check the email for that account.. plus ive never ever heard of HOTMAL.. even a google serach doesnt do much
Re:Didn't her ISP give her an e-mail account?
Re:but dont you have to check the email that you want to verify? like if she was to create a yahoo account.. she would have to use that account as her msn wouldnt she?
Re:Have her create a Yahoo account. And have her do it herself so she isn't relying on someone else to remember her password.
